HiAP 2019 - Partner Profile - diddi dance

Who are diddi dance?

diddi dance are funky preschool dance classes that run through a network of franchisees all over the UK providing full of fun classes and parties both for customers and early years settings.

How has diddi dance improved population health in the UK?

At diddi dance we believe in setting healthy habits and through fun physical activity we hope to start the under 5's on their journey seeing this as fun and in hope then want to stay physically active into later life, we teach just under 7000 children a week.

What has been your greatest achievement to date? And were there any measurable outcomes that accompanied this achievement?

There isn’t really 1 single achievement we have made, our dedicated and enthusiastic franchisees and teachers make amazing achievements every day in classes encouraging children to learn through fun and build confidence and social skills.

How many organisations/clients currently utilise the service/solution across the UK?

Our sessions are used in hundreds of early years settings across the UK as well as schools for their reception classes.

Is there anything you would like to make delegates aware of ahead of the HiAP 2019 conference on 1st May?

We are passionate about early years healthy habits. We want to see as many children falling in love with physical activity from the minute they can walk as possible. Our sessions are constantly developing through our continuous work and learning through our qualified dance practitioner who started the company 15 years ago and various other professionals including early years consultants, SEND professionals and child psychologists

What do you feel are the key points delegates need to digest when considering a partnership with diddi dance?

We want to help try and tackle childhood obesity and believe how a child perceives physical activity as a large part. At this age they have to be engaged properly through fun sessions with great music that children cant help but dance along to. We would love to discuss any partnerships with those who have the same vision and understand the importance of early years interventions.
