OPEN ACCESS

Govconnect's Open Access Library seeks to enable our conference speakers, partners and wider stakeholders the opportunity to publish best practice driven methodologies and approaches to improving standards of care and encourages the exploration of clinical and care driven innovations.

Each of our established conference brands "Long Term Plan" - "Improving Patient Safety & Care" - "Dementia 2020" and "Mental Health" all have their own dedicated sections within the library.

We seek to provide unrestricted online access so as to ensure that the key information is available to all conference attendees and our wider databases of health and social care professionals.

NHS Long Term Plan

Drawn up by those who know the NHS best – frontline health and care staff, patients and their families and other experts – the Long Term Plan is ambitious but realistic. It will give everyone the best start in life; deliver world-class care for major health problems, such as cancer and heart disease, and help people age well.

Patient Safety

Patient safety is about maximising the things that go right and minimising the things that go wrong. It is integral to the NHS’ definition of quality in healthcare.

This strategy sets out what the NHS will do to achieve its vision to continuously improve patient safety.

Mental Health

The NHS Long Term Plan renewed commitment to pursue the most ambitious transformation of mental health care England has ever known. The Mental Health Implementation Plan provides a new framework to ensure we deliver on this commitment at the local level.

Dementia

Dementia is a key priority for both NHS England and the Government.

In February 2015 the Prime Minister launched his Challenge on Dementia 2020, which set out to build on the achievements of the Prime Minister’s Challenge on Dementia 2012-2015.

Integrated Care

Integrated Care Systems are a way of working, collaboratively, between a range of health and social care organisations, to help improve people’s health.

It’s when organisations work together in a shared way; sharing budgets, staff, resources where appropriate, to best meet people’s needs.
